Description:
Red Quill
Created by Art Flick, the Red Quill is the traditional tie for the Hendrickson mayfly.
This pattern was originally developed to imitate the male dun and spinner, and darker variations of the Hendrickson. This pattern is best fished during the middle to latter part of the season. A gentle twitch will help to imitate the insect fluttering its wings in preparation for flight and provides great trigger action for trout.
