Description: Flavilinea Parachute The parachute version of the Flavilinea sits lower in the water to imitate an emergent insect, yet provides excellent buoyancy for long drifts. Distribution of the flavilinea, and the related species in the Drunella subgenus - the spinifera and coloradensis, extend from western Canada through to New Mexico. Look for this insect species in moderate to fast water sections and in cooler water. There is typically a high incidence of stillborns and cripples among the Drunella family which make them easy prey for trout.
