The Abel Creek Fly Reels are remarkable narrow frame, large arbor spool reels. Either will be a magnificent addition to your tackle bag whether you fish a classic cane or modern graphite rod. Abel had machined some narrow spool trout reels before, but this is a first: narrow spool, PLUS large arbor. Please read that again: Narrow Spool plus Large Arbor! The result is a magnificent hunk of fly-fishing machinery suited to the Test, Devon, Henryville or any other spring creek. The narrow frame coupled with large arbor spool means fast line pick-up, fast retrieve and a classic, elegant look. Both models of Abel Creeks have an outgoing and incoming click drag.
