Description:
Pale Morning Dun, Krystal Wing
This parachute design adds a great splash of sparkle that is more visible by the fish and the fly fisher.
They can be found throughout the west on all river types and in a wide variety of river habitats. Because their hatch spans many months, trout are very selective when feeding on the Pale Morning Duns (PMD). Study rise forms and fish at varying levels (on the bottom with a PMD nymph imitation, in the substrate, just below the surface as an emerging dun, and on the surface as both a comparadun and a spinner) and match the size as closely as possible. On cooler days when the PMD experiences a very high rate of crippled and still born insects, this provides the opportunity for long drifts and excellent fishing conditions.
