Using new technology for the fly tackle industry, the Sierra reels are fitted with a Teflon disc drag, and a one-way clutch roller bearing. This system allows for super smooth drag action engaged only in one direction. The Sierra's drag allows for drag-free retrievals when re-spooling line. The drag is easily converted by simply reversing the bearing direction.
