Description:
March Brown Cream Comparadun
The comparadun style of this pattern imitates both an emerging March Brown and the female during oviposting.
The March Brown must drift for long periods before its wings are prepared for flight and it can fully emerge from the river. Adverse conditions, such as cooler temperatures or cloudy days, make for very prolonged drifts and an ample opportunity for feeding trout. When oviposting, the female will typically make contact with the water's surface multiple times and then fall spent. The profile of the comparadun suggests both of these stages and will trigger trout to select the imitation during a hatch period.
