Flavilinea Comparadun
The "Flav" is the small western green drake which follows directly after the larger green drake species and they produce equally impressive hatches. The comparadun pattern presents an ideal impression and is one of the most durable patterns.

Distribution of the flavilinea, and the related species in the Drunella subgenus - the spinifera and coloradensis, extend from western Canada through to New Mexico. Look for this insect species in moderate to fast water sections and in cooler water. There is typically a high incidence of stillborns and cripples among the Drunella family which make them easy prey for trout.
