Deceiver, White
The White Deceiver is an excellent pattern to play as a wounded forage food imitation.

Typically thought of as a saltwater baitfish pattern, this pattern in smaller sizes is very effective in freshwater for bass, trout, pike, walleye and other fish. Not all Deceivers are tied to directly imitate baitfish; they are often tied as attractor patterns. White is a good all around baitfish imitation.

This variation of the Deceiver can be played effectively as a wounded baitfish when sight fishing by allowing it to sink a foot or so and then in mutiple shorts strips retrieving it to the surface. Repeat this process to encourage interest. This pattern can also be fished in traditional ways.
