Description:
Cahill Hi-Vis Flourescent Orange
This high visibility fly is a "must have" pattern in your fly box. The bright chartreuse parachute wing provides the ultimate in visibility for the fly fisher, while providing an ideal impressionistic wing silhouette for the trout.
The Cahill is one of the classic patterns designed for the dramatic hatches of the Stenonema mayflies. A variation of patterns is recommended, as trout will feed very selectively on one phase or another of the emerging or dun insects.
How to fish:
This pattern is best fished in a traditional quartered upstream style. Remember to complete an upstream mend to create a completely drag-free drift. Micro-drag will begin to affect the drift once the fly passes the 45-degree angle downstream from the position of the angler.
