Description:
Black Gnat
It doesn’t take a lot of guess work to determine when a prolific hatch of Gnats is in effect, as often one deep breath will validate their presence.
Gnats are a good food source for trout during the mid-season or summer time and early fall. They emerge throughout the day, particularly as the water and air temperature begin to rise. Don’t make the mistake of missing the instances when trout are selectively feeding on this abundant food source.
